From relatively humble beginnings, the Airport Show in Dubai grew into the largest airport industry event of its kind in 2008 with the benefit of comprehensive PR support from Total Communications.

The exhibition was launched in 2001 to assist the decision-making process for the next phase of development at Dubai International Airport, and attracted 90 exhibitors from 17 countries, as well as 1,359 visitors from 35 countries.

On behalf of the organisers, Streamline Marketing Group, the agency devised PR programmes to boost the line-up of worldwide airport industry suppliers and manufacturers exhibiting, and attract greater numbers of quality visitors representing airport developers and civil aviation authorities from the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent.

The 2008 Airport Show attracted more than 600 exhibitors from 40 countries, as well as delegates from over 100 civil aviation authorities and airports and 5,807 trade visitors from 81 countries.

We also generated regional media exposure carrying a PR value of $663,973 and achieved 51,462,980 impressions in the English and Arabic press in the Middle East.

In 2008, the Airport Show was acquired by Reed Exhibitions, the world's leading organiser of trade exhibitions and consumer events.

Total Communications’ services are retained on an annual basis to support Streamline Marketing Group’s portfolio of international exhibitions and conferences.
